Type of works:        Fire – Fire Alarm System Upgrade Including Automatic Opening Vent Works.

Rose Fire & Security Ltd were commissioned by our client to rectify an ageing fire alarm system and defective automatic opening vent system. We subsequently installed a new analogue addressable fire alarm complete with smoke detection and interface to the building passenger lifts and automatic signalling to the fire service. The automatic opening vent system was a particular challenge as the existing plastic internal parts used in the opening control mechanisms were degraded and failing. Our engineers removed these parts and had aluminium replacements machined by specialist fabrication engineers. The replacement window parts and new linear actuator rams to open the windows were installed and now the complete building window system provides the smoke control as required.
