Type of works:     Security - IP CCTV System Installation

Rose Fire & Security were invited to prepare a scheme for a CCTV system for Northampton Cathedral. On examination and the clients request for very high-quality images an IP system was specified. The system allowed for reduced cabling on the installation and the use of high-resolution IP cameras internal and external, working down to starlight illuminance.

The UNV system was demonstrated to the client by the manufacturer and Rose Fire & Security and the client commissioned the work. The images displayed and recorded are of such high resolution and clarity that they can be viewed in a zoomed mode to allow full facial recognition.

This system within its first two months of installation successfully helped the local Police to secure a positive identity of a person committing a theft from the premise, and they were subsequently prosecuted.

The client has since commissioned another two church premises within the diocese to have this IP CCTV systems installed.
